  Rules and Conditions
  • Acceptance of Rules: By enrolling in any Sebil Center program, course, or lesson (in-person or online), you agree to abide by all Sebil Center Rules and Conditions, as outlined in this document and updated on our official website.
  • Full Payment Requirement: Courses begin only after full payment of fees. Students who have not paid in full will not be permitted to start.
  • Payment Deadlines:
  • Fees must be paid in full at least 30 days before the course start date for international students or 7 days for students residing in the country.
  • Early payment (more than 30 days before the start date) qualifies for a 5% discount on the course fee.

4. Currency Conversion and Transfer Fees: Students are responsible for any fees associated with currency conversion or money transfers.

5. Price Changes: All quoted prices are subject to change without notice unless a specific price is confirmed in writing for a limited period.

6. Withdrawal Before Course Start (Non-Immersion Courses):

  • More than 20 days before: A 5% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration and examination fees (non-refunded).
  • 10–20 days before: A 20% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration and examination fees (non-refunded).
  • 1–9 days before: A 35% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration and examination fees (non-refunded).

7. Withdrawal Before Course Start (Immersion Courses):

  • More than 20 days before: A 20% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration, examination, and accommodation fees (non-refunded).
  • 10–20 days before: A 35% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration, examination, and accommodation fees (non-refunded).
  • 1–9 days before: A 50% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration, examination, and accommodation fees (non-refunded).

8. Withdrawal After Course Start (Non-Immersion Courses):

  • Day 1 (within 24 hours) of the course: A 50% deduction of the course fee applies, plus full registration and examination fees (non-refunded).
  • Day 2 (after 48 hours) or later: No refunds are provided, regardless of attendance.

9. Withdrawal After Course Start (Immersion Courses): Day 1 (within 24 hours) of the course or later: No refunds are provided, regardless of attendance.

10. Force Majeure Clause: In cases of unavoidable circumstances (e.g., serious illness, family emergency, or visa denial), students may request a partial refund or course credit valid for 3 months, subject to Sebil Center’s discretion and submission of supporting documentation.

11. Absence Policy:

  • Absences due to student reasons are not compensated, except for Private or Online Programs under specific conditions (see rule 12).
  • Absences caused by the Center (e.g., teacher unavailability or facility issues) will be compensated with rescheduled lessons at no additional cost.

12. Compensation for Private and Online Programs:

  • Students must notify the Center of expected absences before the course start date, or at least 48 hours in advance during the course, with a maximum of 8 consecutive lessons (intensive Private Program) or 4 consecutive lessons (non-intensive Private Program).
  • Compensated lessons will be rescheduled based on teacher and Center availability, not necessarily on the same days or times.
  • All compensated lessons must be completed within the program’s specified period (e.g., 1 week for One-Week Program, 30 days for Four-Week Program) or within 4 weeks for unspecified periods.

13. Online Compensation for Face-to-Face Absences: If Sebil Center agrees to provide online lessons as compensation for missed face-to-face lessons, the number of lessons will be reduced by 50% due to the concentrated nature of online sessions.

14. National Public Holidays: Lessons missed due to national public holidays (e.g., Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha) are not compensated, except for Private Programs, where rescheduling may be offered based on availability.

15. Course Postponement:

  • Courses may be postponed once, up to 30 days from the original start date, if requested at least 20 days prior to the start.
  • Additional postponements or requests within 20 days are subject to Center approval and may incur a fee of up to 15% of the course fee.

16. Course Postponement for Non-Attendance: If a student is unable to attend a course, the Center may offer to postpone the course for up to 3 months to preserve the student’s fees, subject to Rules 6–9 for any refund requests.

17. Course Transfers and Changes:

  • Courses cannot be transferred to another person or group.
  • Changes to course time, period, duration, section, schedule, or program type (e.g., group to private, online to face-to-face) are not permitted after registration unless approved by the Center, which may impose conditions, require new registration, or charge a fee of up to 15% of the course fee.
  • Online courses cannot be converted to face-to-face classes, and vice versa.

18. Group Course Adjustments: If a Group Course has only one student, the Center may adjust the course schedule or add students of the same language level without additional charges.

19. Standard Immersion Intensive Arabic Program with Accommodation:

  • Minimum duration: 1 week.
  • Reservations must be made at least 6 weeks prior to the start date.
  • Late registrations may incur additional accommodation fees.
  • The program includes educational and cultural activities. Without these, it is considered a regular Intensive Course.

20. Course Extensions: Requests to extend a program (additional weeks or lessons) must be made at least 7 days before the new period begins, with fees paid in full in advance.

21. Visa Responsibility: Obtaining a visa is the student’s responsibility. Sebil Center is not liable for visa denials or related costs but may provide supporting documentation upon request.

22. Student Conduct:

  • Students must adhere to Sebil Center’s code of conduct, including respectful behavior toward staff, instructors, and peers.
  • Violations (e.g., harassment, disruptive behavior) may result in warnings, suspension, or dismissal without refund.

23. Technology Requirements for Online Courses:

  • Students in Online Programs must have a stable internet connection, a suitable device, and necessary software (as specified by the Center).
  • Technical issues on the student’s end do not qualify for compensation.

24. Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and punctuality are expected. Repeated tardiness or unexcused absences may affect academic progress and may result in disciplinary action, up to dismissal without refund.

25. Data Privacy:

  • Sebil Center collects and processes personal information (e.g., name, contact details, payment information) in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Students may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data, subject to legal and operational requirements.

26. Grievance Procedure: Students with complaints or concerns should submit them in writing to apply@sebilcenter.com. The Center will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and aim to resolve issues within 10 business days.

27. Accessibility and Accommodations:

  • Students with disabilities or special needs should inform the Center at least 30 days before the course start to arrange reasonable accommodations.
  • The Center will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, subject to feasibility and availability.

28. Health and Safety: Students must comply with all health and safety regulations and guidelines provided by the Center. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action, up to dismissal without refund.

29. Communication: Students must check their registered email regularly for important announcements and updates from the Center. The Center is not responsible for missed communications due to failure to monitor email.

30. Emergency Situations: In emergencies, students must follow instructions from Center staff. The Center will make reasonable efforts to ensure student safety and well-being.

31. Course Completion and Certification: Upon successful completion of a course, students will receive a certificate of completion, subject to meeting the Center’s outlined criteria. A printed certificate costs €30.

32. Referral Program: Students who refer new students to Sebil Center may be eligible for a referral bonus or discount, subject to the Center’s referral policy. Details are available on the official website.

33. Language Proficiency Assessment: Students may be required to complete a language proficiency assessment to determine their level and course placement. The Center reserves the right to adjust placements based on assessment results.

34. Student Activities and Events: The Center may organize optional activities and events to enhance the learning experience. Students are encouraged to participate, subject to any additional fees or requirements.

35. Course Availability: The Center reserves the right to cancel or modify courses due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Affected students will be notified promptly and offered alternative arrangements or full refunds.

36. Intellectual Property: All course materials (e.g., textbooks, handouts, online resources) are the intellectual property of Sebil Center. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written consent.

37. Student Support Services: The Center offers support services, including academic advising, language practice sessions, and study resources. Students are encouraged to utilize these services to enhance their learning.

38. Course Schedules and Timetables: Students will receive a detailed course schedule and timetable at the start of the course. Changes will be communicated promptly. Students are responsible for adhering to the schedule and any missed content due to personal scheduling conflicts.

39. Rule Updates: Sebil Center reserves the right to update these rules and conditions. Updates will be posted on the official website, and enrolled students will be notified via email at least 14 days before changes take effect.

40. Liability Limitation: Sebil Center is not liable for losses or damages (e.g., travel costs, personal property) incurred by students, except where required by law.
